David Tennant and his mini-me daughter, Olive, made a rare joint appearance at the opening night of Paddington: The Musical.

On Sunday, Nov. 30, the 54-year-old actor arrived at London's Savoy Theatre on the West End to witness the life-size Paddington bear in action. The Doctor Who star walked the red carpet in a tan sweater, brown trousers and a plaid overcoat, while his daughter, 14, was the spitting image of her father, donning a button-up blouse, a black mini skirt and a pair of black cowboy boots.

In addition to Olive, David shares four other children with his wife of 13 years, Georgia Tennant: Ty, 23, Wilfred, 12, Doris, 10, and Birdie, 5.

While David often opts to keep his family life out of the spotlight, he told The Guardian in July 2020 that he and Georgia are "not quite as squeamish as we were." After all, Ty, who has played roles in House of the Dragon and War of the Worlds, and Olive are both budding stars themselves.

"I don't think we'll ever be sharing pictures of our children in Hello! magazine, but I think a lot of that comes from an insecurity about being uncovered or invaded," the Good Omens actor explained at the time. "The longer you're together, the less that feels like a threat."

He echoed the sentiment while speaking to Radio Times that same month, going on to reflect on the realities of fatherhood — both the good and the bad — while praising the "painfully honest" portrayal of parent-child relationships in his BBC comedy, There She Goes.

"I think parenting is often sentimentalised, and sort of cleaned-up for consumption, and in my own experience being a parent, it's hit and miss, and full of triumphs and disasters."

"[The show is] obviously about parenting a very unique child, but it's also just about parenting, and about how hit and miss that is, and how any one of us as a parent never feels that we're ever getting it right," he continued. "It's actually quite rare to see the honesty of that written down.

- Oscar-bound filmmaker Jafar Panahi has reportedly been sentenced to prison by Iranian officials.

- The *It Was Just an Accident* director is widely expected to score major Oscar nominations.

- The 2026 Academy Awards take place in March.

The director of a film widely predicted to score multiple nominations at the 2026 Oscars has reportedly been sentenced to one year in prison, per the Human Rights Activists News Agency.

In a brief news post Monday, the HRANA reported that 65-year-old Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi, who recently won the prestigious Cannes Palme d'Or prize for his new drama *It Was Just an Accident*, has additionally been sentenced to a travel ban and other restrictions amid alleged propaganda against the nation.

"Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court has, in absentia, sentenced Mr. Panahi to one year in prison, two years of a travel ban, and a ban on membership in political and social groups, on the charge of propaganda against the regime," said Mostafa Nili, Panahi's defense attorney, in a statement reported by the organization.**

The film is also expected to score a nomination for Best International Feature, but not on behalf of Iran, which did not submit the project for Oscars consideration — instead, France, which co-financed the film, submitted the project as its category contender.

Nominations are set for Jan. 22, while the Academy Awards will be handed out on March 15.

Amid worldwide acclaim for films *The White Balloon*, *The Circle*, *Taxi*, and more, Panahi first served jail time in 2009, with several of his projects being banned in Iran.

He has, in the past, resorted to making films via remote video sessions, with *It Was Just an Accident* even being made partially in secret in Iran after he was released from another prison stint in 2023 that ended with a hunger strike, per the Associated Press.

Drawing glowing critical reviews following its Cannes debut in May, *It Was Just an Accident* was made with inspiration from stories told by Panahi's fellow prisoners, and follows an ex-prisoner who kidnaps a man he suspects was his interrogator in jail, though he's unsure of the person's exact identity because he was blindfolded while in prison.

"At the end of the day, I was a special person there," Panahi told the AP of his stint in Evin Prison. "There were people there who would go on hunger strikes for 20 or 30 days and no one would hear about it. If I didn't eat for two days, the entire world would find out."

*It Was Just an Accident *was first released in the United States on Oct. 15, and is now playing in a limited number of theaters.

John Travolta is reprising his role as Danny Zuko — but with a holiday twist

The actor appears in a new Capital One commercial inspired by his 1978 film Grease

In the commercial, Travola appears as Santa with a sleigh that's worthy of a new rendition of "Greased Lightnin'"

John Travolta is paying homage to his Grease character Danny Zuko — but this time, as Santa Claus.

Travolta, 71, appears in a new Capital One commercial in which he can be seen dressed as Santa in an automotive garage, toting his sack of toys as he eyes a high-tech sleigh.

"Ho, ho, ho, ho," he says in the ad. "Why, this sleigh could be frost-o-matic, tinsel-matic, 1.5% cash back-o-matic."

"It's Greased Lightnin'," he adds, while paying for the sleigh with a Capital One credit card.

He then launches into a near-identical rendition of "Greased Lightnin'," which he originally sung about a car in the film.

Throughout the commercial, Travolta busts out his famous dance moves alongside some of Santa's elves and a reindeer wearing sunglasses.

"Ho, ho, ho — what's in your wallet?" he says in ending the commercial, while a red convertible-like sleigh jets off into the sky with a reindeer escort.

John Travolta

This isn't the first time Travolta has nodded to one of his previous film characters in a Capital One commercial. Last year, the actor teamed up with Samuel L. Jackson more than 26 years after the release of Pulp Fiction, for an ad chock-full of references to the 1994 Quentin Tarantino Oscar-winning classic.

In the 2024 ad, Travolta again plays Santa Claus as he buys Christmas gifts for his elves, adding tins of hot chocolate, bags of marshmallows and "3,000 bolo ties" — a nod to his Vincent Vega character — to his online shopping cart.

The advert ends with Travolta's Santa recreating Pulp Fiction's iconic dance scene between him and Uma Thurman — this time to the tune of Chuck Berry's "Run Run Rudolph."

Travolta has also previously payed homage to his Grease character, making a surprise June appearance at a sing-along event for the film at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The actor even came dressed as Danny Zuko, posting a photo on his Instagram of himself as an older version of the character — sporting gray hair while wearing a black leather jacket and a T-shirt.

"Tonight at the Hollywood Bowl, for the first time I surprised everyone at the GREASE Sing-A-Long and dressed up as Danny Zuko," he wrote in the post's caption. "No one knew. Not even the cast. Thank you for a great evening."

Travolta also shared a video from the surprise moment in his post, in which he could be seen walking to the stage to loud cheers from fans in the packed-out amphitheater, channeling Zuko while saying to the audience, "L.A., I thought you were going back to Australia? That's cool, that's cool, baby. You know, riding and rollin' and whatnot."

Gwen Stefani posted a PDA-filled photo of herself and husband Blake Shelton to her Instagram Story on November 28.

The couple sparked breakup rumors after skipping the CMA Awards on November 19, even though Shelton was a nominee.

Stefani left her romantic photo captionless, letting Shelton's kiss on the cheek do the talking.

Split rumors? What split rumors?

Look, when you're a celebrity couple, breakup rumors are consistent and constant—but when it comes to Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's marriage, Stefani is shutting down any chatter without ever actually uttering a word.

On November 28, Stefani posted a PDA-filled selfie of Shelton giving her a kiss to her Instagram Story, writing no caption and letting Shelton's kiss on the cheek speak for her. Of any split rumors, Shelton's rep also told Page Six, "This is a completely made-up story created solely for headlines and clicks."

The breakup rumors ramped up after Stefani and Shelton skipped November 19's CMA Awards in Nashville, even though Shelton was a nominee. Prior to Friday's photo, Page Six reported that Shelton hadn't appeared on the No Doubt singer's Instagram since June, when Stefani celebrated his birthday. For his part, Shelton wished Stefani a happy birthday when her big day rolled around in October.

Back in March, the duo released a duet, "Hangin' On," which is about a breakup. Shelton was quick to point out that the song was "really no reflection of where Gwen and I are in our relationship—I hope," he told Access Hollywood.

"It's a song that pushes us vocally, and we just love the song," he added. "We're to a point in our lives where we just want to do songs that we love, and then see what happens, I guess, later."

The couple married in 2021, and Stefani previously said that Shelton gave her "a second chance at life" after her divorce from Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, with whom she shares three sons.

"When my family fell apart, it was a catastrophe," she told The Guardian in November 2024. "How do you pick yourself up from that? But God put this other person there to love me."

Shelton previously told People of his Thanksgiving rules with Stefani that the No. 1 tip is "Never say no to any kind of food," he said. "Whatever you want to try, I'll try it. Just bring it on."

"We go all out for Thanksgiving," Shelton continued. "We've got a huge family, so we feel good about making a bunch of food. Normally, it's like, 'Oh damn, we're already out of stuffing? How can that possibly be?' We're excited about it."

Stefani and Shelton originally met as coaches on The Voice in 2014 and began dating in November 2015. Five years later, Shelton proposed, and the two married in July 2021.

"To me, she's my best friend and everything that I need and lean on," Shelton previously said, adding that their relationship is the "easiest thing" he's ever been a part of.

Nikki Sixx thinks rock stars should accept their age.

In an interview with WTHR-TV's Dustin Grove via Blabbermouth, the Mötley Crüe bassist and co-founding member spoke about why he thinks artists shouldn't try to act younger than they are.

"Life changes, man," Nikki, 66, told the outlet. "It's cool that it changes. The thing that I don't like is when I see artists that are still trying to act 25, and they're 65.

He continued: "I don't think that's cool for the fans. Evolution is evolution. We all age, we all change, we have different interests, and Mötley Crüe seems to have ridden that wave pretty good, just letting it be real."

Nikki also noted how he's grown as an individual over the years.

"You evolve as a person, as a lyricist. My evolution as a lyricist, it goes from the rawest of the raw to the most heartfelt. And that's just as I grew as a man and my interests evolved," he said.

According to Nikki, the band isn't "in a rush ever" to make music.

"We don't have to be in a rush. In my case, I've got a six-and-a-half-year-old [daughter Ruby] who's amazing," he said. "And so I wanna not be in a rush to work constantly so I can enjoy that part of it and then go out there and play for the fans.

Nikki noted that it's about "balance" for him.

In December 2023, Nikki opened up to PEOPLE at the Jackson Hole International Film Festival (JHIFF) about spending time in nature and turning 65.

"It just really clears our head and allows us to reset," Nikki told PEOPLE of he and his wife Courtney Sixx, now 40, who share daughter Ruby, 6½.

He added: "We spend a lot of time outside. I mean, the whole point of being here is to really be outside whether you're into skiing or fishing or hiking or being up on the lakes or snowmobiling."

Nikki noted how they enjoyed how "social" the area was.

"I wake up and I'm like, 'I can't think of a place I'd rather be.' And to be able to still be creative at 65 and have a wonderful family and be surrounded by good friends. I'm very grateful," he said.

The film was a box office success, making over $120 million, and was followed up by 1994's My Girl 2, which saw Chlumsky, Curtis and Aykroyd reprise their roles.

Jamie Lee Curtis is sharing a special memory from the My Girl set.

On Sunday, Nov. 30, the actress, shared a behind-the-scenes video in which the cast of the 1991 film sang a remixed version of The Temptations' "My Girl," while talking about the movie's title switch.

The film starred Anna Chlumsky, now 44, as Vada Sultenfuss, a quirky 11-year-old girl coming of age in the summer of 1972 while also grappling with being a hypochondriac and obsessed with death. Macaulay Culkin, now 45, played her friend Thomas Jay, who died from an allergic reaction to bee stings. Dan Aykroyd, now 73, played her father, while Curtis, now 67, played her father's girlfriend (and Vada's future stepmother).

In the video's caption, she explained, "Yes, you can add songwriter to my credits. My Girl's original title was Born Jaundiced. Also, I Am Woman and Veda!"

"I convinced the rest of the cast that we could go shoot this in a little studio and sweet Anna recorded it in a little sound booth. I thought I was the only one with a copy of this. It was a crew gift that we gave to the wonderful group of people that came together to make that wonderful movie," she shared.

"How fun to see you today. The hot pants outfit was rejected by our director Howard Zeiff and he was so right that it was wrong for Shelley to wear for her interview at the mortuary, but I got to wear it for the little video shoot."

The video shows Ann Nelson playing the bass while Chlumsky sings. Aykroyd is on guitar, with Curtis playing a tambourine as Culkin took on the drums and Griffine Dunne played the keyboard.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Curtis talked about her memories from making the film, including her admiration for her young costars.

Watching a clip from the film, Curtis remarked, "This is emotional for me because they were so young,"

"I loved My Girl. That was another beautiful, unexpected, beautiful little bit of work and a wonderful character that I got to play," she continued. "I've played a lot of moms, worked with a lot of young actors, and Macaulay and Anna were so great."

The Miss Jamaica organization is sharing a message of healing ahead of the holiday season

The message, posted on the pageant organization's official account, comes 12 days after the current Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry fell from a stage while competing at the Miss Universe pageant in Bangkok, Thailand, on Nov. 19

Henry was hospitalized after her fall and no current updates are available on her condition

The Miss Jamaica organization is sharing a message of "healing" over a week after Miss Jamaica 2025 Gabrielle Henry fell from the stage while competing at Miss Universe, and was hospitalized. On Dec. 1, the official Miss Universe Jamaica account shared a message ahead of the new month, celebrating a "season of recovery, reflection and renewed resilience.""After Hurricane Melissa, we rise with gratitude - for safety, for community, for the strength that binds us together," the statement read.

It continued, "This is our time to rebuild with hope, to restore with compassion, and to uplift each other with kindness," calling for people to "be intentional" and "empathetic" as well as to "extend grace generously."

Concluding, the statement added that, "even in hardship, Jamaica's spirit remains unshaken - we endure, we unite, and we shine. Welcome, December - a month of healing, courage, and forward movement."While the statement specifically touched on the country of Jamaica's healing from Hurricane Melissa, the message comes over a week after the current Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry fell from the stage while competing during a preliminary pageant event at Miss Universe in Bangkok, Thailand, on Nov. 19.Henry was notably absent from Miss Universe's final round of competition on Nov. 21.

Later, following the competition, an update from the Miss Universe Jamaica Organization was released on her Instagram Stories on Friday, Nov. 21, and sent to PEOPLE, explaining that Henry's sister, Dr. Phylicia Henry-Samuels, is currently with Henry and their mother, Maureen Henry, in Thailand.

According to Dr. Henry-Samuels, "Gabby isn't doing as well as we would have hoped, but the hospital continues to treat her accordingly."Because of her condition, medical personnel have determined that Henry will be required to remain in the intensive care unit (ICU) for a minimum of seven days as "doctors continue their close monitoring and specialized care."

In a Nov. 29 statement posted by Olivia Grange, Jamaica's Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the organization wrote to express their thanks to the people of Jamaica for their support toward Henry, and provided an update on the pageant queen, sharing that she is still in the ICU."While Dr Henry, Miss Jamaica Universe 2025, remains in intensive care in Bangkok in Thailand, in the process of recovery, and despite setbacks, the family reports that she is in good spirits," the statement revealed."The family is confident that her resilience and strength will see her through 'with all our support,'" it continued.

The statement also shared that the family is continuing to monitor her condition "in close consultation with her medical team and patiently await her further recovery and for clearance from the medical team for non-emergency medical transportation to Jamaica."Grange previously shared updates on her condition in collaboration posts with the official Miss Jamaica account after the pageant queen's initial fall from the Miss Universe stage. In a Nov. 21 post, the minister shared that Henry's family, in speaking with Grange, "said it was their understanding that there was no error in the execution of Gabrielle's walk before she fell, suffering lacerations to her chin and foot."

In a later interview with PEOPLE, one of Henry's fellow Miss Universe contestants, Miss Haiti Melissa Sapini, opened up about the behind-the-scenes moments following Henry's fall, alleging that after the fall, pageant contestants were called together for a meeting, where she claims a pageant staff member started the conversation by placing blame on Henry.

"I don't know that they handled that correctly," she tells PEOPLE. "The first thing he said was it's because she wasn't paying attention."

"After he said that, then he was like, 'Of course, safety is our number one priority,' this, that," she clarifies. "But it's like, 'Are you serious?' That was really scary."A representative from the host pageant organization, Miss Grand International, responded to those claims in a statement to PEOPLE, noting that "the incident occurred primarily because she missed her blocking and may not have been looking at the runway while walking. However, no one from MGI blamed her.""The stage was extremely large — the catwalk was more than 5 meters wide with clear, oversized white borders," the representative writes. "No other contestant experienced any accidents on that runway, indicating the environment was safe and the fall was an isolated case."The Miss Universe Organization has not responded to PEOPLE's requests for comment.
