Nikki Sixx thinks rock stars should accept their age.

In an interview with WTHR-TV's Dustin Grove via Blabbermouth, the Mötley Crüe bassist and co-founding member spoke about why he thinks artists shouldn't try to act younger than they are.

"Life changes, man," Nikki, 66, told the outlet. "It's cool that it changes. The thing that I don't like is when I see artists that are still trying to act 25, and they're 65.

He continued: "I don't think that's cool for the fans. Evolution is evolution. We all age, we all change, we have different interests, and Mötley Crüe seems to have ridden that wave pretty good, just letting it be real."

Nikki also noted how he's grown as an individual over the years.

"You evolve as a person, as a lyricist. My evolution as a lyricist, it goes from the rawest of the raw to the most heartfelt. And that's just as I grew as a man and my interests evolved," he said.

According to Nikki, the band isn't "in a rush ever" to make music.

"We don't have to be in a rush. In my case, I've got a six-and-a-half-year-old [daughter Ruby] who's amazing," he said. "And so I wanna not be in a rush to work constantly so I can enjoy that part of it and then go out there and play for the fans.

Nikki noted that it's about "balance" for him.

In December 2023, Nikki opened up to PEOPLE at the Jackson Hole International Film Festival (JHIFF) about spending time in nature and turning 65.

"It just really clears our head and allows us to reset," Nikki told PEOPLE of he and his wife Courtney Sixx, now 40, who share daughter Ruby, 6½.

He added: "We spend a lot of time outside. I mean, the whole point of being here is to really be outside whether you're into skiing or fishing or hiking or being up on the lakes or snowmobiling."

Nikki noted how they enjoyed how "social" the area was.

"I wake up and I'm like, 'I can't think of a place I'd rather be.' And to be able to still be creative at 65 and have a wonderful family and be surrounded by good friends. I'm very grateful," he said.

Sharing a special behind-the-scenes video of the cast performing a unique take on The Temptations' 'My Girl'

The film was a box office success, making over $120 million, and was followed up by 1994's My Girl 2, which saw Chlumsky, Curtis and Aykroyd reprise their roles.

Jamie Lee Curtis is sharing a special memory from the My Girl set.

On Sunday, Nov. 30, the actress, shared a behind-the-scenes video in which the cast of the 1991 film sang a remixed version of The Temptations' "My Girl," while talking about the movie's title switch.

The film starred Anna Chlumsky, now 44, as Vada Sultenfuss, a quirky 11-year-old girl coming of age in the summer of 1972 while also grappling with being a hypochondriac and obsessed with death. Macaulay Culkin, now 45, played her friend Thomas Jay, who died from an allergic reaction to bee stings. Dan Aykroyd, now 73, played her father, while Curtis, now 67, played her father's girlfriend (and Vada's future stepmother).

In the video's caption, she explained, "Yes, you can add songwriter to my credits. My Girl's original title was Born Jaundiced. Also, I Am Woman and Veda!"

"I convinced the rest of the cast that we could go shoot this in a little studio and sweet Anna recorded it in a little sound booth. I thought I was the only one with a copy of this. It was a crew gift that we gave to the wonderful group of people that came together to make that wonderful movie," she shared.

"How fun to see you today. The hot pants outfit was rejected by our director Howard Zeiff and he was so right that it was wrong for Shelley to wear for her interview at the mortuary, but I got to wear it for the little video shoot."

The video shows Ann Nelson playing the bass while Chlumsky sings. Aykroyd is on guitar, with Curtis playing a tambourine as Culkin took on the drums and Griffine Dunne played the keyboard.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Curtis talked about her memories from making the film, including her admiration for her young costars.

Watching a clip from the film, Curtis remarked, "This is emotional for me because they were so young,"

"I loved My Girl. That was another beautiful, unexpected, beautiful little bit of work and a wonderful character that I got to play," she continued. "I've played a lot of moms, worked with a lot of young actors, and Macaulay and Anna were so great."

The Miss Jamaica organization is sharing a message of healing ahead of the holiday season

The message, posted on the pageant organization's official account, comes 12 days after the current Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry fell from a stage while competing at the Miss Universe pageant in Bangkok, Thailand, on Nov. 19

Henry was hospitalized after her fall and no current updates are available on her condition

The Miss Jamaica organization is sharing a message of "healing" over a week after Miss Jamaica 2025 Gabrielle Henry fell from the stage while competing at Miss Universe, and was hospitalized. On Dec. 1, the official Miss Universe Jamaica account shared a message ahead of the new month, celebrating a "season of recovery, reflection and renewed resilience.""After Hurricane Melissa, we rise with gratitude - for safety, for community, for the strength that binds us together," the statement read.

It continued, "This is our time to rebuild with hope, to restore with compassion, and to uplift each other with kindness," calling for people to "be intentional" and "empathetic" as well as to "extend grace generously."

Concluding, the statement added that, "even in hardship, Jamaica's spirit remains unshaken - we endure, we unite, and we shine. Welcome, December - a month of healing, courage, and forward movement."While the statement specifically touched on the country of Jamaica's healing from Hurricane Melissa, the message comes over a week after the current Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry fell from the stage while competing during a preliminary pageant event at Miss Universe in Bangkok, Thailand, on Nov. 19.Henry was notably absent from Miss Universe's final round of competition on Nov. 21.

Later, following the competition, an update from the Miss Universe Jamaica Organization was released on her Instagram Stories on Friday, Nov. 21, and sent to PEOPLE, explaining that Henry's sister, Dr. Phylicia Henry-Samuels, is currently with Henry and their mother, Maureen Henry, in Thailand.

According to Dr. Henry-Samuels, "Gabby isn't doing as well as we would have hoped, but the hospital continues to treat her accordingly."Because of her condition, medical personnel have determined that Henry will be required to remain in the intensive care unit (ICU) for a minimum of seven days as "doctors continue their close monitoring and specialized care."

In a Nov. 29 statement posted by Olivia Grange, Jamaica's Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the organization wrote to express their thanks to the people of Jamaica for their support toward Henry, and provided an update on the pageant queen, sharing that she is still in the ICU."While Dr Henry, Miss Jamaica Universe 2025, remains in intensive care in Bangkok in Thailand, in the process of recovery, and despite setbacks, the family reports that she is in good spirits," the statement revealed."The family is confident that her resilience and strength will see her through 'with all our support,'" it continued.

The statement also shared that the family is continuing to monitor her condition "in close consultation with her medical team and patiently await her further recovery and for clearance from the medical team for non-emergency medical transportation to Jamaica."Grange previously shared updates on her condition in collaboration posts with the official Miss Jamaica account after the pageant queen's initial fall from the Miss Universe stage. In a Nov. 21 post, the minister shared that Henry's family, in speaking with Grange, "said it was their understanding that there was no error in the execution of Gabrielle's walk before she fell, suffering lacerations to her chin and foot."

In a later interview with PEOPLE, one of Henry's fellow Miss Universe contestants, Miss Haiti Melissa Sapini, opened up about the behind-the-scenes moments following Henry's fall, alleging that after the fall, pageant contestants were called together for a meeting, where she claims a pageant staff member started the conversation by placing blame on Henry.

"I don't know that they handled that correctly," she tells PEOPLE. "The first thing he said was it's because she wasn't paying attention."

"After he said that, then he was like, 'Of course, safety is our number one priority,' this, that," she clarifies. "But it's like, 'Are you serious?' That was really scary."A representative from the host pageant organization, Miss Grand International, responded to those claims in a statement to PEOPLE, noting that "the incident occurred primarily because she missed her blocking and may not have been looking at the runway while walking. However, no one from MGI blamed her.""The stage was extremely large — the catwalk was more than 5 meters wide with clear, oversized white borders," the representative writes. "No other contestant experienced any accidents on that runway, indicating the environment was safe and the fall was an isolated case."The Miss Universe Organization has not responded to PEOPLE's requests for comment.

Whitney Leavitt is riding the wave of her controversial "Dancing with the Stars" run all the way to Broadway.

The "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" star, 32, will play the role of Roxie Hart in "Chicago" on Broadway, she announced Dec. 1 on Instagram. Her stint in the storied musical will begin Feb. 2 at the Ambassador Theatre in New York City and run through March 15.

The announcement follows a tumultuous season on "DWTS," where Leavitt impressed judges with her dancing chops but struggled against a tidal wave of online hate, some stemming from her actions filmed on previous seasons of "Mormon Wives."

Mark Ballas and Whitney Leavitt perform their freestyle on "Call Her Daddy."

Despite strong technical skills, Leavitt was eliminated before the finals of "Dancing with the Stars," failing to earn enough fan votes to advance to the end of the competition. Wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin ultimately nabbed the Mirrorball trophy.

Leavitt and her pro partner from the show, Mark Ballas, performed their final dance on an episode of "Call Her Daddy," during which she recounted the difficulty of the show's fanbase turning against her.

"I am used to the hate. And so with Season 1 and Season 2 of 'Secret Lives and Mormon Wives' being out, like I just didn't think I was going to make it that far in 'Dancing with the Stars' because I already knew the persona that I had in the media," she told host Alex Cooper. "So I didn't think people were going to really vote for me."

Ahead of the season finale of "Dancing with the Stars", revisit some incredible moments from this season, starting with this shot of contestant Dylan Efron and judge Bruno Tonioli during the premiere. The ballroom welcomed 14 celebrities for their 20th anniversary season.

Her casting in "Chicago" finds easy roots in her time on "Dancing." Mid-season, she and Ballas performed an Argentine Tango to "Cell Block Tango," an iconic sequence from the show. It also slots into a growing trend on Broadway of outside celebrities dropping in for a guest-starring stint, some say to raise the profile of a struggling industry.

Leavitt follows in the footsteps of other celebrities who have played Roxie, including fellow reality TV stars Ariana Maddix, Erika Jayne and Lisa Rinna, as well as actress Melanie Griffith.

How to get tickets to 'Chicago'

Tickets for the show are available now via the official "Chicago" musical website.

Serena Williams said she struggled in the beginning of her tennis career because she had a different body type than other athletes

The 44-year-old said she thought she was "large" her entire life, but now she realizes she was "fit" and just had "big muscles"

She admitted that she stopped reading articles about herself and said she's glad things are starting to change for the next generation of Black tennis stars

Serena Williams is opening up about overcoming her struggles with body image early on in her career.

In the latest cover story for NET-A-PORTER's digital title, PORTER, the tennis star, 44, reflected on how difficult it was to have a different physique than other athletes.

"It was hard because when I was playing in the beginning – the first 15 years – my body was different," she told the outlet. "I had big boobs; I had a big butt. Every athlete was like super flat, super thin and beautiful, but in a different way. And I didn't understand as an athlete how to deal with that."

"It does affect you mentally. Absolutely," she continued. "You think you're large for your whole life and you look [back] and you're like, I was fit. Yeah, I had big muscles. I didn't look like these other girls but not everyone looks the same."

Williams explained that the comparisons and criticism took such a toll on her body image that she ultimately decided not to read any comments about her.

"When I was 17, when I won the Open for the first time, I took a decision there. I was so young, but I said I'm never going to read anything about me," she said. "At the Open, there was so much positivity, and I thought, I don't want my head to get too big. I wanted to stay humble. I also thought if it's negative, I don't want to read it. I never really read an article after that."

That's one of the reasons why the 23-time Grand Slam champion is often praised for her resiliency, because she's been able to block out the noise.

"Growing up and being Black in tennis, it's just like, well, that comes with negativity… You have something mean to say, get in line. You got to go way back. It's going to take you a few days to get there. Join the crowd," she said. "I don't hear the noise. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. How am I going to sit here and change someone's thought? If [you] don't like me, you don't have to."

Williams said she's glad that things are starting to change and get better for the young Black tennis players who are at the top of their game today, like Coco Gauff and Naomi Osaka.

"It's changed," she said. "No one's calling these girls the [things] I was called. People would say we were like men and all this other stuff."

"I'm not going to let anyone bring me down," she continued. "I put enough stress on myself. The last thing I'm going to allow is someone else to do that. But I'm so happy that girls nowadays don't have to go through it as much. I mean, I think internet trolls are different. So, you have that to deal with…"

Dominic McLaughlin, who is the titular star of HBO's upcoming Harry Potter TV series, is speaking out about receiving a letter from former Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe

"My dad just tapped me on the train and he just gave me this letter. I read it and then I got to the bottom, and it said, 'Dan R,' " the young actor recalled during an appearance on the CBBC show Saturday Mash-Up! Live

McLaughlin said being handed the surprise was an "insane" moment

Dominic McLaughlin, who is the titular star of HBO's Harry Potter TV adaptation, got a special surprise after being handed a letter from his dad on a train.

During an appearance on the U.K.'s CBBC show Saturday Mash-Up! Live, McLaughlin, 11, spoke about receiving a letter from "the man himself," Daniel Radcliffe, 36, who played The Boy Who Lived from 2001 through 2011 in the eight-film series.

The young actor said on the show, "It was insane," adding that he'd been on the train back to Glasgow heading home at the time.

"My dad just tapped me on the train and he just gave me this letter. I read it and then I got to the bottom, and it said, 'Dan R.' I was going mad, but I had to keep it [cool]. I was on the train," McLaughlin recalled, per a clip shared on Reddit.

When asked how filming has been going so far, the new Potter star insisted, "It's going amazing, it's going really well. I've made good friends with everyone, it's great to be there."

McLaughlin's comments come after Radcliffe spoke about reaching out to the young star during an appearance on Good Morning America on Nov. 18.

"I wouldn't say that anyone who is going to play Harry has to [reach out]," Radcliffe said. "And I have a very sweet, I know a few people who are working on the production, so I wrote to Dominic and I sent him a letter and he sent me a very sweet note back."

He insisted that he does "not want to be a specter in the light of these children," referring to the cast, including actors McLaughlin, Alastair Stout (Ron Weasley) and Arabella Stanton (Hermione Granger), who were announced to play the roles in the eagerly anticipated show back in May.

"I just wanted to write to him [McLaughlin] to say, 'I hope you have the best time, and an even better time than I did — I had a great time, but I hope you have an even better time,'" Radcliffe, who isn't participating in the series, said of the note. "And I do, I just see these pictures of him and the other kids and I just want to hug them."

He went on, "They just seem so young. I just look at them and say, 'Oh it's crazy I was doing that.' But it's also incredibly sweet and I hope they're having a great time."

The forthcoming HBO series, which is an adaptation of J.K. Rowling's book series, kicked off production in July, and is set to premiere in 2027. It will adapt each of the franchise's seven books into a separate season over the next few years.

While it features new cast members such as John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Paapa Essiedu as Professor Snape and Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, the series also sees actors such as Warwick Davis reprising his role as Charms professor Filius Flitwick.

Photos shared by PEOPLE last month captured several cast members featured in the upcoming series filming scenes at the historic Ashridge Estate in Hertfordshire, England. The location has ties to the original films, as the Quidditch World Cup in the 2005 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie took place there.

HBO and Max chairman and CEO Casey Bloys previously said in a press release from Warner Bros. Discovery in April 2023 that he's "delighted to give audiences the opportunity to discover Hogwarts in a whole new way."

The release added that "each season will be authentic to the original books and bring Harry Potter and these incredible adventures to new audiences around the world, while the original, classic and beloved films will remain at the core of the franchise and available to watch globally."

HBO's Harry Potter series will premiere in 2027.
