It's hard to believe Paul Walker tragically died more than a decade ago.

Sunday, Nov. 27 officially marked 12 years since the beloved Fast & Furious actor died at age 40.

To pay tribute to her late father, Meadow Walker took to social media on Sunday and shared a series of adorable throwback photos of the two of them — accompanied by a short and bittersweet message.

"12 years without you… I love you forever," the caption of Meadow's Instagram post reads.

Fans flooded the comments section of Meadow's post with red and blue hearts galore to show their support of the Walker family — which has also been supported by Paul's co-star and dear friend Vin Diesel over the years.

Stories about Diesel, 58, stepping in for Walker's family during important moments — like walking Meadow, 27, down the aisle — help paint a picture of how deep their bond ran. Their relationship was not just a Hollywood partnership — it carried into their personal lives.

It's no surprise, then, that Diesel also took to Instagram on Sunday to pay tribute to Paul, posting a candid-looking photo of the two of them in a stairwell.

"Twelve years… Not a day goes by… Miss you," the caption of Diesel's post reads.

Diesel and Paul first teamed up in The Fast and the Furious in 2001, where Walker played Brian O'Conner, an undercover cop who enters the world of Dominic Toretto (Dieel) and street racing. The movie started a partnership that turned into one of Hollywood's most memorable action duos.

Paul died in 2013 after he was involved in a single-vehicle car crash in California. Meadow, whom Paul shared with Rebecca Soteros, was 15 at the time.

Meadow has honored her dad's legacy over the years, Us Weekly reports, founding the Paul Walker Foundation, which aims to "continue to do the work that Paul started," per the organization's website.

For a generation of young millennials, Ron Howard's *How the Grinch Stole Christmas* (2000) has become as important a holiday tradition as Dr. Seuss' original children's book and 1966 animated special. This live-action adaptation expands the story of the titular curmudgeonly creature who hopes to ruin Christmas for the happy citizens of Whoville, giving us a glimpse into his tragic childhood and adding new characters.

Jim Carrey, wearing layer upon layer of green makeup and prosthetics, lends his signature goofy star persona to the lead role, while character actors like Jeffrey Tambor, Christine Baranski, Bill Irwin, and Molly Shannon fulfill their Whoville roles with aplomb. The film also made a star of Taylor Momsen as Cindy Lou Who, who memorably sings the twinkly ballad "Where Are You Christmas?".

With the film now celebrating its 25th anniversary, we're taking a look at what the cast has been up to in the 21st century, from major career shifts to award-winning work.**

Jim Carrey plays the eponymous Grinch, a fiendish Whoville outlaw who declares war on the festive season.

Carrey told *** *in 2000 that getting into costume was quite an ordeal. "I was having a lot of trouble with the Grinch suit, so they brought a guy in who actually teaches people how to handle torture, and he gave me a couple of tips. You just forget [the pain]."

After making his reputation in sketch comedy, Carrey broke big in 1994 with three hits — *Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Dumb and Dumber, *and *The Mask* — that made him a bona fide star. The rubber-faced comedian went on to play the Riddler in *Batman Forever* (1995) and starred in *The Cable Guy *(1996) and *Liar Liar *(1997) before making his first dramatic detours. His performances in *The Truman Show* (1998) and the Andy Kaufman biopic *Man on the Moon* (1999) earned him back-to-back Golden Globes.

The Canadian actor continued to flex his dramatic muscles in *The Majestic *(2001) and the romantic sci-fi head-trip *Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind *(2004). But he never left comedy behind, headlining *Bruce Almighty *(2003), *Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events* (2004), and *Yes Man* (2008). Carrey returned to television with a role as a grieving father in *Kidding* and plays Dr. Robotnik in the ongoing *Sonic the Hedgehog* cinematic franchise.

Carrey was married to Melissa Womer from 1987 to 1995. They have a daughter, Jane. The actor later wed his *Dumb and Dumber *costar Lauren Holly in 1996. She filed for divorce less than a year later.

Taylor Momsen (Cindy Lou Who)

Taylor Momsen plays Cindy Lou Who, a curious child who wants to extend Christmas greetings to the Grinch.

Momsen was 7 years old when she brought Cindy Lou to life, but it took a toll on her middle-school years. "*The Grinch* changed my life in a multitude of ways — one of them being I was made fun of relentlessly," she admitted on *Gossip Girl* costar Penn Badgley's podcast. "Every time I would start a new school or go somewhere else, I don't even think the kids knew my name. I was just Grinch Girl...I got used to it, but it was alienating."

After a few more children's movies and a supporting part in Gus Van Sant's *Paranoid Park *(2007), the "Grinch Girl" joined *Gossip Girl* as Jenny Humphrey.

While the show was a hit, Momsen increasingly turned her attention to music, forming the band the Pretty Reckless in 2009. Two years later, she devoted herself full-time to music, leaving *Gossip Girl* in the middle of the fourth season. The band has four studio albums and seven chart-topping singles under its belt. In 2025, Momsen performed with Soundgarden at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, where the surviving members were inducted — *Grinch* costar Jim Carrey introduced the set.

Jeffrey Tambor (Mayor Augustus May Who)

Jeffrey Tambor is the corrupt Mayor of Whoville and the Grinch's lifelong tormenter, Augustus May Who, who sets his hatred of Christmas in motion.

The long-time character actor is well known as talk-show sidekick Hank Kingsley on *The Larry Sanders Show*. Not content with one iconic sitcom role, he added another as crooked family patriarch George Bluth (and occasionally his twin brother, Oscar) on *Arrested Development*.

His most decorated performance came in the lead role of Amazon's *Transparent* as a transgender woman, taking home two Emmys for his work. However, he was later fired from *Transparent* following allegations of sexual misconduct and didn't appear in the show's final season.

As for film, Tambor has appeared in the likes of *There's Something About Mary *(1998), *Hellboy *(2004), *The Hangover *(2009), and *The Death of Stalin *(2017).

Tambor married Kasia Ostlun in 2001. The pair share four children: Gabriel, Eve, and twins Hugo and Eli. He also has daughters from previous relationships.

Christine Baranski (Martha May Whovier)

Christine Baranski plays Martha May Whovier, the Who with the most perfect Christmas decorations in Whoville.

A veteran stage actress, Baranski broke into television with an Emmy-winning performance as Cybill Shepherd's sarcastic best friend on the sitcom *Cybill*. She played ruthless litigator Diane Lockhart on *The Good Wife* and headlined the spinoff, *The Good Fight*. She also had a prominent recurring role as Leonard's mother on *The Big Bang Theory*. Baranski starred in the second season of *Nine Perfect Strangers* and currently has a scene-stealing supporting role as Agnes von Rhijn on the HBO period drama *The Gilded Age.*

In addition to two Tony wins, she's amassed 16 Emmy nominations throughout her small-screen career. The Broadway vet has also become a regular in big-screen musicals, appearing in *Chicago* (2002), *Mamma Mia!* (2008), *Into the Woods* (2014), and *Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again* (2018).

Baranski was married to Matthew Cowles from 1983 until his death in 2014. They have two daughters, Isabel and Lily.

Bill Irwin plays Lou Lou Who, a postal worker and the protective father of Cindy Lou.

Originally a professional clown and stage actor, Irwin won a Tony for *Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? *in 2005. But parents and children may know him as Mr. Noodle from *Sesame Street*'s "Elmo's World" segments.

He's become a familiar face across film and television, appearing as Anne Hathaway's father in *Rachel Getting Married* (2008), Matthew McConaughey's wisecracking tactical robot in *Interstellar *(2014), and Mariska Hargitay's therapist on *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit*. He was also a regular on FX's surreal comic-book series *Legion* as a mutant scientist who shares a body with a fellow mutant played by Amber Midthunder.

Irwin's marriage to Kimi Okada lasted from 1977 to 1982. He later married Martha Roth in 1990. The couple adopted a son, Santos.

Molly Shannon (Betty Lou Who)

Molly Shannon is Betty Lou Who, Cindy Lou's concerned mother.

Shannon made her name on *Saturday Night Live* and was shooting *The Grinch* simultaneously with her work on the show. It wasn't easy, as she told EW in 2022: "I would get back on the plane Sunday night from New York City to be back in L.A. for a 4 a.m. wake-up because it took hours to put on that prosthetic makeup. It was really hard, but the fact that I pulled that off — shooting both those giant jobs at once — is a miracle."

The actress parlayed her best-known *SNL *character, anxious high schooler Mary Katherine Gallagher, into a feature film, *Superstar* (1999). She's been a regular on the comedy circuit ever since, with TV roles on *Will & Grace*, *Sex and the City*, and *The White Lotus* as well as big-screen appearances in *Wet Hot American Summer* (2001) and *Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby *(2006), among others. The actress has even subverted expectations with her performances in Sofia Coppola's *Marie Antoinette *(2006) and as Emily Dickinson in *Wild Nights With Emily *(2018).

Her television career has continued, starring on *The Other Two* and appearing in season 4 of *Only Murders in the Building *as a clueless Hollywood executive*.* She also released her memoir, *Hello, Molly!*, in 2022.

Shannon and her husband, Fritz Chestnut, wed in 2004. They share two children, Stella and Nolan.

Anthony Hopkins (Narrator)

The film's narration is performed by none other than Sir Anthony Hopkins.

A legendary actor of stage and film, Hopkins has been commanding the screen since the late-1960s, from *The Lion in Winter *(1968) to the war epic *A Bridge Too Far* (1977) and David Lynch's *The Elephant Man* (1980).

His career hit another level with *The Silence of the Lambs* (1991), as he turned suave sociopath Hannibal Lecter into an all-time pop culture icon. He won his first Oscar for the role and later earned nominations for *The Remains of the Day* (1993), *Nixon* (1995), and *Amistad* (1997) — not to mention his turn as Van Helsing in *Bram Stoker's Dracula *(1992) and an aging Zorro in *The Mask of Zorro *(1998).

While popping up as Marvel's Odin in the *Thor* franchise and as the theme park creator on HBO's heady sci-fi drama *Westworld*, the Welsh actor has continued to add to his award shelf. He nabbed an Oscar nom for playing Pope Benedict in *The Two Popes* (2019) before winning his second gold statuette for the Alzheimer's drama *The Father *(2020).

Hopkins has been married three times: to Petronella Barker (1966–1972), Jennifer Lynton (1973–2002), and Stella Arroyave since 2003. He has a daughter, Abigail, from his first marriage.

Clint Howard (Bris Who)

Clint Howard is Bris, the eager and attentive assistant of Whoville's esteemed Mayor.

Howard began acting when he was 2 years old on *The Andy Griffith Show* and has racked up hundreds of screen credits. He's perhaps best known for roles in movies directed by his brother, Ron Howard, including *The Grinch*. Their collaborations include *Cocoon* (1985), *Parenthood* (1989), *Apollo 13* (1995), and *Solo: A Star Wars Story *(2018). And yes, we're counting Clint guest-starring in two episodes of *Arrested Development*, a series narrated by Ron.

The popular character actor, who received a Daytime Emmy nomination for his guest role on *The Bold and the Beautiful* in 2025, also has a long history with the *Star Trek* franchise, dating back to an episode of the original series when he was 7 years old. He's since appeared on *Deep Space Nine*, *Enterprise*, *Discovery*, and *Strange New Worlds*.

Howard was briefly married to Ann Marie Lynch in the late 1980s and later to Melanie Sorich from 1995 to 2018. In 2020, he wed Kat Cruz. The couple has a daughter, Rafa'ella.

Mindy Sterling (Clair Nella Who)

Mindy Sterling plays Clair Nella Who, one of the Grinch's adoptive mothers who tries to raise him to fit in with Whoville's other citizens.

The character actress is best remembered as the villainous Frau Farbissina, one of Dr. Evil's most loyal lackeys, in the Austin Powers franchise. She has played several recurring roles on television, including a bitter English teacher on Nickelodeon's *iCarly* and a snarky neighbor on *Desperate Housewives*. She had a six-season run on *The Goldbergs* as Linda Schwartz and earned two Emmy nominations for her roles on the short-form series *Con Man* and *Secs & Execs*.

Sterling has also maintained a voice acting career, playing characters in *Monsters University* (2013) and the *Despicable Me* series, among many others. She returned to her Who days with a minor role in the computer-animated version of *The Grinch* (2018).

Sterling has a son, Max, with her ex-husband, Brian Gadson.

Even after five years and an Oscar win, Da'Vine Joy Randolph isn't ready to say goodbye to *High Fidelity*.

The Academy Award-winner, who is currently making the rounds for her role in the sci-fi rom-com *Eternity*, recently addressed the possibility of reviving the sitcom during an interview with *Rolling Stone*. Asked if she'd be open to returning to the show after all these years, Randolph didn't hesitate.

"Absolutely," she replied. "We all feel the same way. Zoë [Kravitz] and I talk about it all the time, like, 'How can we figure this out? Give it back to the people,' but really give it back to us, because we just really love it."

The 2020 series, which offered a modernized, gender-swapped take on the John Cusack romantic comedy classic, lasted only a single season on Hulu before its abrupt cancellation. At the time, Randolph's career was just beginning to pop on the heels of *Dolemite Is My Name* and *The United States vs. Billie Holiday*. Within three years, she would snag an Academy Award for *The Holdovers*.

Though she already has her next few projects lined up, Randolph is open to the idea of once again playing snarky music seller Cherise. But that doesn't mean she has no reservations at all.

High Fidelity

"I's a really tricky one, because you're trying to recapture lightning in a bottle," Randolph said of a potential second season. "Sometimes you have to just let things be what it is organically and trust in the process to find the next thing."

*High Fidelity*, based on the 2000 film and Nick Hornby's 1995 novel, centers on Robyn "Rob" Brooks (Kravitz), a young music-obsessed record store owner in Brooklyn, as she reflects on the ups and downs of her previous failed relationships. Fans and critics alike praised the dramedy upon its debut, and since Hulu does not release traditional viewership figures, its cancellation came as a shock. It certainly didn't help that the finale ended on a cliffhanger, with Rob making a major love-life decision.

In the five years since, Kravitz has often discussed her disappointment over the abrupt cancellation and said several times that she would love the opportunity to keep the series going.

Da'Vine Joy Randolph had 'near-death experience' over dim sum

Da'Vine Joy Randolph for a story about her recounting an experience witnessing a mall smash and grab while eating at a dim sum restaurant.

"That's where I really learned about producing and editing and writing, and man, I'm sad," Kravitz told *Elle* earlier this year. "I keep on going back to Hulu and trying to get them to re-up it, but they won't. They're not interested."

Elsewhere in her conversation with *Rolling Stone*, Randolph recalled feeling the pressure of portraying a character previously embodied by Jack Black.

"I chose not to watch the movie because I am such an avid fan of Jack Black, and I did not want in any way for my performance to be tainted," she shared. "I wanted it to authentically be me. But I definitely felt the pressure of, 'Oh gosh, people are going to expect this thing because we're doing a remake.'"

She added, "[The TV show] being so different, I think, helped *High Fidelity* be successful. But that's rare. I often see [sequels] or remakes that happen 20 years later and think, 'Do we need it?'"**

Paul Walker's daughter is paying tribute to her beloved dad.

On Sunday, 12 years to the day after the car accident that claimed the *Fast & Furious *franchise star's life, the model and philanthropist shared a series of images accompanied by a touching caption on her Instagram to commemorate his life.

"12 years without you… I love you forever," Meadow wrote, over a series of three pictures depicting Paul kneeling before a toddler-aged Meadow, who sits on a counter looking at her dad with a smile. In the pictures, Paul holds a plate with up to his daughter containing a dessert festooned with candles, which she considers before giving her dad a peck on the lips.**

Walker's sudden and tragic passing rocked Hollywood in 2013.

The actor was riding in the passenger seat of a vehicle when the driver, racing pro Roger Rodas, lost control of Walker's Porsche Carrera GT and struck a concrete lamp post in Santa Clarita, Calif. The car caught fire upon impact, and both men were pronounced dead when authorities arrived on the scene.

Meadow has paid tribute to her late father on the anniversary of his death in the past, taking the occasion in 2021 to fundraise for various charities that held a special place in Paul's heart during his lifetime, including Toys for Tots.

"To honor my dad's legacy, we hope you'll join us to Do Good," she wrote on Instagram at the time. "From building schools, to advocating for ocean conservancy, to our annual scholarship, affecting positive change is at the heart of everything we do. We love and appreciate you."

Meadow's call to give back was not a one-off, either. Through the Paul Walker Foundation that Meadow established 2015, she has helped keep his giving spirit alive by supporting initiatives benefitting wildlife conservation and ocean protection, and awarding an annual scholarship benefitting a student aspiring to dedicate their lives to such disciplines.

While their Fortnite collaboration may be over, The Simpsons TV show is still very much going (and, presumably, will outlive us all). Season 37's most recent episode, "Aunt Misbehavin'' found Bart and Lisa taking sides in a bitter spat between Marge's twin sisters Patty and Selma.

But the episode begins with a feud between Bart and Homer, after Bart trolls his dental hygienist by devouring a box of triple-stuffed Oreo-like cookies immediately before his appointment. Homer then takes a power drill to Bart's Xbox, inspiring the boy to seek revenge.

Luckily for Bart, his Aunt Patty has a pre-conceived plan for how to brutally prank Homer. "Perhaps the enemy of my brother-in-law is my nephew," she muses to herself. Patty hacks into the DMV database by impersonating her newly-promoted sister and has Homer declared legally dead.

Of course, this isn't the first time that Homer has been declared deceased on the show, lest we forget that back in season seven, he pushed a lifelike dummy off a cliff into dangerously beaver-filled waters, just to avoid an afternoon of picking up trash with his co-workers.

But Homer was seemingly even more delighted by his most recent faux-demise. He was especially thrilled when Krusty the Clown dropped by the Simpson house to induct Marge into the Krusty Burger Widow's Free Fast Food For Life Club, flanked by late Krusty Burger mascots Burger Reynolds and Princess Fry.

"I should have died years ago!" Homer exclaims after learning that they'll have access to an unlimited supply of Krusty Burgers.

But arguably the funniest moment in the episode occurs during a montage of Homer reaping the rewards of his death, fittingly set to The Traveling Wilburys' "End of the Line." After celebrating the erasure of his debts, Homer takes a nap in a hammock and is quickly surrounded by a team of organ donor collectors. But before they have a chance to help themselves to any of his body parts, one of the medics has a heart attack and collapses. The others simply shrug and take him away in a body bag instead of Homer.

It should be noted that legendary character actor Stephen Tobolowsky deserves praise for his Simpsons debut as the proudly lame credit card point junkie Merle, who hooks up with Selma. Also, there's a solid joke about Mr. Burns' inadvertently smutty vanity license plate.

The Grey's Anatomy creator spoke about her fear of being famous at the start of her TV career during a 92NY event in October

"It was really startling and shocking to me to be in a position where I was in a corner writing things for other people who should be famous, to discover that people wanted to talk to me or pay attention to me," Rhimes recalled

Shonda Rhimes felt ill-equipped to deal with her early days of fame.

During the Shonda Rhimes in Conversation with Robin Roberts: Year of Yes panel at 92NY in October, the television mogul, 55, opened up about when she first began to gain notoriety as a producer, soon after the premiere of Grey's Anatomy.

"It's so hard to do," Rhimes said of being in the public eye. "I mean, my job was to imagine things."

Challenging the audience to "name a TV showrunner or TV creator who you know their name on sight," she continued, "There's not that many."

"So it was really startling and shocking to me, to be in a position where I was in a corner writing things for other people who should be famous, to discover that people wanted to talk to me or pay attention to me," Rhimes added.

"It was like being stung by a thousand bees for me. It was really stressful," she further explained. "I just didn't have the equipment or the skill to get there."

The writer, who is responsible for hit TV shows including Scandal, Private Practice and more, said she eventually confronted her fears of fame by diving in headfirst.

"I really tried to do small things," she recalled. "I've always said, 'Do the thing that you're afraid of, because the act of doing it undoes the fear really strongly.' "

"I think my first yes was getting a commencement speech in front of 10,000 people, which sounded like the craziest thing I'd ever come up with," Rhimes continued.

According to the showrunner, another one of her first major public appearances came when she went on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

"I let myself go on television and just do the thing," she said. "It was terrifying the whole time. And yet, when I was done, I was like, 'Oh, that wasn't so bad.' "

"It was a lot of me reminding myself — the worst thing that could happen is that I'd fail. You know?" continued Rhimes. "But there are a million other things that can happen that are better than failure that could have happened."

She added, "So, if the worst thing that happens is that you fail, why not do it anyway?"

With two decades of TV experience and fame under her belt, Rhimes said she feels more equipped now than she did at the beginning of her writing career.

"I get more and more comfortable every time, but I think the first time I did an interview where I felt like I was truly being myself was an interview for [the 2015 release of her book, Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand in the Sun and Be Your Own Person] and it was with Oprah [Winfrey]," she recalled.

"I went to her house, I went to the Promised Land, which was the most intimidating thing in the world," continued Rhimes. "And I sat with her, and we did this interview."

According to the producer, that interview marked one of the first times that she truly felt comfortable in what she was saying.

"In that interview, for the first time, I'm just me," she said. "I'm not stressing over what I'm saying, I'm not rethinking everything in my head as I say it."

"I'm not so stressed that, like, I almost can't hear the questions, which was a thing," Rhimes added. "That has been a journey from there. Like, that was the first time I was comfortable, but it wasn't the last time I was a mess. ... We go back and forth — two steps forward, one step back."

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Super Bowl pregame show will open with a trio of standout performers in Northern California: Charlie Puth will hit the stage to sing the national anthem, Brandi Carlile will take on "America the Beautiful" and Coco Jones will sing "Lift Every Voice and Sing."

The performances will take place Feb. 8 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, before the NFL's championship matchup and halftime show featuring Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny, the league announced Sunday.

"These artists bring a distinct voice to the moment, helping set the tone for a day that will captivate fans around the world," said Jon Barker, senior vice president of global event production for the NFL.

The pregame performances will air on NBC, Telemundo and Peacock.

The national anthem and "Lift Every Voice and Sing" will be performed by deaf performing artist Fred Beam in American Sign Language. Julian Ortiz will sign "America the Beautiful."

In a historic first, the halftime show will include a multilingual signing program featuring Puerto Rican Sign Language, led by interpreter Celimar Rivera Cosme. All signed performances for the pregame and halftime shows will be presented in collaboration with Alexis Kashar of LOVE SIGN and Howard Rosenblum of Deaf Equality.

Puth is a four-time Grammy-nominated singer known for his songs "Attention," "We Don't Talk Anymore" and his 2015 breakout hit "See You Again," with Wiz Khalifa, from the "Furious 7" movie soundtrack. His appearance will come ahead of his fourth studio album "Whatever's Clever!" due on March 6.

Carlile has won 11 Grammys and won praise for her eighth studio album "Returning to Myself," which was released in October. She's nominated for two Grammys with Elton John for their album "Who Believes in Angels?" released in April and their song "Never Too Late" from his documentary film "Elton John: Never Too Late."

Jones is an R&B star who won a Grammy in the best R&B performance category for her song "ICU" in 2024 and released her debut album "Why Not More?" which is nominated for best R&B album at next year's ceremony. She also stars as Hilary Banks on Peacock's television series "Bel-Air," entering its last season.

"Charlie, Brandi, and Coco are generational talents, and we are honored to have them — alongside our extraordinary deaf performers — on Super Bowl LX's world stage," said Desiree Perez, CEO of Roc Nation, which is producing the show with DPS and Jesse Collins. "This moment embodies the very best of culture, live performance and our country."
