A mom's two daughters are going viral for being nearly the same size, despite having an almost 4-year age difference

A mom's two daughters are going viral for being nearly the same size, despite having an almost 4-year age difference.
Alyssa Crawford, a 29-year-old Canada-based mom of two, recently shared a few pictures of her daughters, Sommer, 12 months, and Violet, 4, in a now-viral TikTok, where she poked fun at how tiny her older daughter is with her own take on the "Holy Airball" trend.
The post, which has over 2.2 million views, starts with the doting mom recounting a hypothetical conversation with another person, where she's telling them her daughter is "really tiny" for her age. In the scenario, the other person agrees that their children are "small" too before Alyssa proves to them exactly what she means. The last slide is a picture of Violet and Sommer sitting side-by-side, showing just how tiny the 4-year-old is.
Alyssa, who welcomed her daughters with husband Mike Crawford, 32, tells PEOPLE that her daughter Violet, who's currently 36 inches tall, was born at an average size, but had slow growth from there.
"She was born at an average size, but slow to grow from there, and was always tiny. Doctors were never worried since she was always meeting milestones, usually early," she says, noting that her 12-month-old is 26 inches tall. "They only decided to look into it further at her 4-year check-up because she was off the charts."

Reflecting on the reach of her TikTok, Alyssa tells PEOPLE that she was "surprised" to see how many people viewed her post. She says it's been "interesting" to see people's reactions to her daughter's size.
"I was surprised the TikTok blew up the way it did. It was interesting to see how people reacted, most thinking they knew exactly the reason she was short," she says. "Many [tried] to 'diagnose' her based on three pictures and a tiny bit of information."
The proud mom says she's lucky to have "amazing doctors" who have been with her daughter since she was younger.
Despite being tiny, Alyssa says her daughter has a big personality. In the caption of her TikTok, the proud mom shared that her personality is big enough to make up for her height.
"She might be tiny, but her personality makes up for it 🤣," she wrote in the caption for the post. "We're in the negative percentiles now but she's as healthy as can be🤷🏻♀️."
Alyssa adds that her daughter is "full of personality," telling PEOPLE she "loves to sing and dance to Taylor Swift" and "has lots of friends at school and tons of attitude."

As for the sibling dynamic between the two sisters, Alyssa shares that her girls "absolutely love each other."
"Violet is such a sweet big sister, always taking care of Sommer and playing with her," says the girl mom of two. "Sommer copies everything her big sister does."
