Ravens vs. Falcons live updates, inactives, where to watch: Lamar Jackson out with ankle injury, QB Tyler Huntley starts vs. red-hot Atlanta

Yahoo Sports Staff Updated Mon, October 12, 2026 at 12:38 AM UTC About Our Ads Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement In this story The Baltimore Ravens will face the Atlanta Falcons to close out the evening on "Sunday Night Football," with kickoff set for 8:20 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The Ravens will be without starting quarterback Lamar Jackson in Week 5, who is out with an ankle injury, putting Tyler "Snoop" Huntley in line to make his 17th career start, with a 7-9 record as a starter.

The Falcons have been firing on all cylinders over the past two games since the return of quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who made his season debut in Week 3 after recovering from a torn ACL suffered last season. Bijan Robinson and Brian Robinson Jr. have formed a potent duo, combining for five touchdowns in Week 4 to tie the single-game franchise record .

Michael Penix was lucky to not be intercepted on a pass that was behind on Atlanta's first pass from scrimmage, and the Falcons have punted after a quick 3-and-out.

A 21-yard run by Justice Hill set the Ravens up near the red zone, and they eventually got to second-and-goal at the 1 on a Derrick Henry run.

But the Falcons held at the goal line and forced a 21-yard field goal from Tyler Loop for a 3-0 Ravens lead.

The Falcons won the toss and deferred. The Ravens will receive the opening kickoff.

We're moments away from kickoff. Can the Falcons offense keep thriving with Michael Penix and pull of a third straight win against a Ravens team playing without Lamar Jackson?

Let me preface this insight by letting everyone know I have been a Ravens fan for more than 25 years. I've been through the ups and downs with this franchise, but one thing I never do is show bias toward them when it comes to betting angles.

That said, I've found it extremely hard to find a way Baltimore (3-1) enjoys success in primetime against a suddenly hot Atlanta team, which I think can make a serious playoff run if its stars can stay healthy.

Since the return of QB Michael Penix Jr., the Falcons offense has been the definition of electric. Penix sits fourth in EPA/Play and success rate amongst quarterbacks. Bijan is doing Bijan things (494 rushing yards, 120 receiving yards and five TDs) and fellow running back Brian Robinson Jr. is coming off a three-TD night against the Saints.

On the other side, Lamar Jackson is hurt again, and that means Tyler Huntley will start under center. That alone doesn't give me much confidence in Baltimore due to the fact that the franchise is 2-5 straight up in its last seven games without Jackson.

Throw in the fact that the Atlanta defense ranks No. 1 in rushing defense by more than 100 yards over second-ranked Jacksonville, allowing a paltry 2.7 yards per carry, and I think that means Derrick Henry and Co. are going to be in for a long night.

With less than 90 minutes until kickoff, the Baltimore Ravens and Atlanta Falcons have announced their Week 5 inactives.
