Sweet and Sour sauce is coming back toWendy's!
After nearly seven months off menus, Sweet and Sour sauce is returning to Wendy's restaurants across the U.S. beginning Monday, April 27.
"Thousands of social media comments. Countless posts and tags. An undeniable wave of fan passion demanding one thing: the return of Wendy's Sweet and Sour dipping sauce," the company wrote in apress releaseannouncing the return.
But the classic sauce flavor may not be here to stay. The chain says the sauce is only returning for a "limited time." In anInstagram post, Wendy's urged fans to express their love for the sauce in order to keep it on the menu.
"Sweet & Sour is BACK… but only for a limited time unless y'all get loud. Go get the sauce in-restaurant + like, comment and share this post to save it. SWEET & SOUR ARMY DO UR THING." Wendy's wrote in the post.
Fans made sure to speak up in the comments.
"Limited time???? Did you not learn!" one fan wrote.

"Keep It And And Bring Back The OG BBQ Sauce," said another.
Other fans were simply thankful for the sauce's return. "THANK YOU!!!!! Going there for lunch right now for the first time since it's been gone,"one fan wrote.

The sauce joins Wendy's lineup of other sauces, including Wendy's Signature, Sweet Chili, Scorchin' Hot, Creamy Ranch, Honey BBQ and Honey Mustard.
The return of Sweet and Sour sauce coincides with the chain's spring menu, also launching today. The lineup includes the Cookie Dough Frosty Fusion, a new core Frosty flavor with cookie dough pieces and brownie batter sauce, along with the Jalapeño Ranch Cheeseburger, Jalapeño Bacon Breakfast Potatoes and Jalapeño Breakfast Biscuit, which are available for a limited time.
Wendy's spring menu also includes a suite of watermelon-flavored beverages, including Watermelon Lemonade, Watermelon Sparkling Energy, and Sprite Watermelon.
