Jack Black and Paul Rudd are two of Hollywood's most beloved actors, and they brought their signature humor, chaos, and energy to the Today show this week. The duo visited the show to discuss their upcoming movie, Anaconda, but fans in and out of the studio got much more.

The two didn't hold back during a live performance from Trans-Siberian Orchestra and gave it their all with an epic air-guitar jam session.

Rudd, dressed in a chic tailored suit, sat cross-legged next to his friend. Black, donned a flashier ensemble with bright colors and hectic patterning, pairing nicely with the actor's frenetic personality. As the band's hit "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo" plays, Black shows off some air percussion on his invisible cymbals, and Rudd performs some intricate fretwork on his pretend guitar. Both bring the energy and stay impressively in sync with their headbanging throughout the 13-second clip.

Fan responses to the moment began rolling in immediately:

"That's the vibe early in the morning! Wouldn't have it any other way with that comedic energy 😂," one fan commented.

Another appreciated this uplifting moment after a weekend of tragic news: "The air has been so heavy with no light or joy until this moment… Thank you, Jack, & Thank you, Paul. 🫶🏻💙"

Even the band themselves enjoyed the theatrical interpretation, as the official Trans-Siberian Orchestra Instagram account commented, "name a better duo. we'll wait. 🤘🏻"

The fun was not contained to the studio for the pair of friends. In another video shared on social media, Rudd and Black can be seen outside in the iconic Today Plaza collecting toys in giant red Santa sacks while greeting fans with smiles, high-fives, and their trademark chaotic energy.

Black and Rudd were guests on Today as part of the press tour for their upcoming movie, Anaconda. The movie is a reboot of the original 1997 movie Anaconda, starring Ice Cube, Jennifer Lopez,Owen Wilson, and Jon Voight.

The new film, due in theaters December 25th, tells the story of a group of friends filming a reboot of their favorite movie—you guessed it, Anaconda. That's a very high concept, according to Today host, Savannah Guthrie, "Did I get it right?" she asks Rudd and Black. "I think so," Rudd hesitantly confirms, "I'm still trying to follow it myself."

This isn't the first time Rudd and Black will appear on screen together. Both starred in Anchorman, but Black's role was confined to a brief cameo. The two have developed great chemistry while working on their latest project, and time will tell if this pairing is one we'll be seeing sometime in the near future.
